The Arizona Statewide Independent Living Council (SILC) is a federally mandated organization established under Title VII, Section 705 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.  The council assesses and advocates for independent living programs and services for Arizonans with disabilities so that they may live and participate in an integrated community.

The Arizona Division of Emergency Management prepares the citizens of Arizona for emergencies, protecting their lives and property. The agency also coordinates the state's emergency preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery efforts when a disaster strikes.
